Planning Proposal to rezone land at Centennial Vineyards

Notice of public exhibition of a planning proposal to amend Wingecarribee Local Environment Plan 2010 to rezone land at Centennial Vineyards, 254 Centennial Road Bowral from E3 Environmental Management to SP3 Tourist.

On 22 July 2020 Council resolved to proceed with a Planning Proposal as described above.  The effect of the proposed change to WLEP 2010 would be to enable a Development Application (DA) to be considered by Council for any land use permitted with consent in the SP3 Tourist zone.  It is noted that no DA is currently before Council which would rely on the proposed amendment.  It is further noted that not all of the land known as Centennial Vineyards is proposed to be rezoned.  The map provided overleaf indicates the extent of the proposed amendment.

On 8 March 2021 the NSW Department of Planning, Industry & Environment issued a Gateway Determination to progress the Planning Proposal to public exhibition.  The Proposal is now exhibited in accordance with the Gateway requirements and submissions sought from the community.

The Planning Proposal and associated documentation may be viewed via Council’s YourSay website, as well as at Council’s Customer Service Counter, Civic Centre, 68 Elizabeth Street, Moss Vale NSW 2577, between 8.30am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday during each week of the exhibition period.

Wingecarribee Shire Council is authorised to exercise the functions of the Minister for Planning under s.3.36 of the Environmental Planning & Assessment Act 1979 as have been delegated to it with regard to this Planning Proposal.
