On Thursday the 27 May 2021, the Minister of Local Government Shelley Hancock, extended the suspension of Wingecarribee Shire Council for a further three months. At its meeting of 9 June 2021, Council administrator advised that Destination Southern Highlands charges have been omitted from the recent exhibition of Council’s Fees and Charges and will now be exhibited separately.
Council is seeking feedback on an amended Code of Meeting Practice during a 42 day public exhibition which will conclude at 4.30pm on Friday 14 July 2021. The amendments are consistent with recent decisions of Council to commit to becoming a paperless office and improve transparency and openness with respect to pre-meeting briefing sessions and other information sessions.
