Public hearings of the Wingecarribee Shire Council Public Inquiry will commence this Monday 28 March 2022.

On 1 September 2021 the Minister for Local Government, the Honourable Shelley Hancock MP, announced that Mr Ross Glover had been appointed as Commissioner to hold a public inquiry into Wingecarribee Shire Council and to suspend the Council for a period no later than 30 days after the report of the public inquiry is provided. The Minister has appointed Mr Viv May PSM as Interim Administrator for the period during which Council is suspended.
The Public Inquiry will provide an opportunity for a public, detailed examination of the issues that have confronted Council.

Public hearings of the Wingecarribee Shire Council Public Inquiry will commence on Monday, 28 March 2022 and will be held at the Wingecarribee Shire Council Chambers, Civic Centre, Elizabeth Street, Moss Vale. It is expected that the hearings will continue until Thursday, 14 April 2022.
The usual sitting hours of the Inquiry will be between 10.00 am and 1.00 pm (with a mid-morning break at approximately 11.30 am) and 2.00 pm and 4.00 pm. Those sitting times are subject to change at the discretion of the Commissioner to ensure the efficient conduct of the public hearings.
