Easter Trading Hours


A number of Council services will be closed or have reduced hours over the Easter long weekend and ANZAC Day.

Kerbside Bin Collections

Kerbside bin collections will continue as normal on Good Friday, Easter Monday and ANZAC Day.

To ensure our staff can get home to their families and enjoy a public holiday, please place your bins out the night before your scheduled collection.

Resource Recovery Centre

The Resource Recovery Centre (RRC) will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Monday.

The RRC will operate as normal over the weekend:

  • Easter Saturday: 8 am – 4 pm
  • Easter Sunday: 8 am – 1 pm

Wingecarribee Animal Shelter will also close to the public Good Friday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday. The Shelter will open by appointment only on Easter Saturday. Please call 02 4868 1520.

Both the RRC and Animal Shelter will close for ANZAC Day.

Civic Centre, Depots and Wingecarribee Public Libraries

Our Moss Vale Civic Centre and depots will be closed from Good Friday through to Easter Monday. Normal trading will resume on Tuesday 19 April.

Wingecarribee Public Libraries branches will also close for the long weekend.

Bowral Central Library will resume trade from 9.30 am on Tuesday 19 April. Both Moss Vale and Mittagong will re-open at 10 am on Tuesday.

Welcome Centre

The Welcome Centre, or visitor information centre, will close on Good Friday.

Public holiday trading will resume on Easter Saturday:

  • Easter Saturday: 9 am – 4 pm
  • Easter Sunday: 9 am – 4 pm
  • Easter Monday: 9 am – 4 pm

The Welcome Centre will open between 9 am and 4 pm on ANZAC Day.
