Register of Council Contracts with the Private Sector

The Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (GIPA) requires Council to keep a 'Government Contracts Register' for the purpose of recording information for contracts between Council and the private sector that has (or is likely to have) a value of $150,000 or more.

There are three classes of contracts that Council are required to report on:

  • Class 1 Contracts
  • Class 2 Contracts
  • Class 3 Contracts
