Join us on the 11 October 2023 at 3.30pm for the first of four councillor candidate information sessions in the lead up to the September 2024 election. If you're interested in being part of the new Civic Leadership Team for Wingecarribee Shire Council and shaping the future of our community this session is for you.
These sessions are run in partnership with the NSW Office of Local Government, Central Coast and Balranald Council and facilitated by John Rayner, former General Manager, Administrator and experienced Local Government Leader.
Navigating the complex landscape of local government can be challenging for councillor candidates. This information session aims to provide an in-depth yet high-level overview of what you can expect in a role serving the Wingecarribee Shire.
With insights drawn from examples of both commendable and less-than-ideal Council performances across New South Wales, this session will offer invaluable knowledge for any potential councillor.
What to expect:
An open Questions and Answers segment will follow the presentation, allowing for further clarification and discussion.
Attendees are also encouraged to list any topics they would like to be listed for discussion and further information when they register.
Register for this event by visiting Eventbrite.
