We have a vibrant community which offers many services and recreational opportunities.
Most villages in the Shire have an association which represents the local community. Association members know lots of information relevant to your new home and attending their meetings can be a great way to make friends in a new place.
Many of these groups have facebook pages, websites and noticeboards or publish newsletters.
Council issues a quarterly newsletter, media releases and public notices to keep the community informed.
We also issue emailed newsletters which you can subscribe to.
View past issues of our Council newsletters here.
If you're on the internet or have a smartphone check out our facebook, twitter and flickr pages.
Our tourism team manages an Events Calendar which provides a great starting point for people wanting to attend local events or get involved in community activities.
