Wingecarribee Community Assistance Scheme applications for 2023/2024 open on 1 March 2023 and close 7 April 2023. 

Submissions can be made via smarty grants.

Information on the Scheme

The Wingecarribee Community Assistance Scheme (CAS) encourages the development of community initiatives in line with Council’s Community Strategic Plan – Wingecarribee 2031.

All goals and strategies from the plan seek to attain an outcome that is sustainable and strives for equity, access and equal rights, particularly for the disadvantaged and vulnerable.

The Community Assistance Scheme aims to build capacity, encourage participation and support initiatives that promote partnerships and working together to maintain our community and its assets. 

Under the scheme three types of funding are available, Community Assistance Scheme Donations up to $600, Community Assistance Scheme Grants up to $7,000.

Applications for the previous 2023 scheme opened on 6 December 2022 and closed on 13 January 2023. All funds will need to be spent by the 30 June 2023 and an announcement of successful applicants was made at the 15 February 2023 Ordinary Meeting of Council. ClubGrants Category 1 provides funding for specific community welfare and social services, community development, health services and employment assistance activities; and other projects aimed at improving the living standards of low income and disadvantaged people. The local priorities for this funding are older people, young people, children and social disadvantage.

Heritage Grants

Wingecarribee Heritage Assistance Grants are offered by Council annually each financial year. Funding rounds are generally called in the middle of the year. Further information can be found by visiting Council's Heritage Assistance Grant webpage.

For owners of properties listed on the State Heritage Register of State heritage significance, grant funding opportunities are currently available via the NSW Heritage Grants for management, maintenance, conservation, and activation of these special places. More information is available on the Heritage NSW website.
