Anzac Day is the solemn day of remembrance of those Australian and New Zealand soldiers who fought and died for their country. Anzac Day is marked annually on the anniversary of the Gallipoli campaign of the First World War.
Light up the Dawn
This Anzac Day, Australians are being invited to honour the service of our Defence Forces, past and present, by standing in their driveways, balconies or gardens and observing a minutes silence at 6am, after the conclusion of the Dawn Service being held at the Australia War Memorial. The Australian War Memorial Service will be broadcast nationally on ABC TV from 5.30am.
WE WILL REMEMBER THEM.
