It’s here again; National Youth Week 31 March – 9 April 2017

The list of events and activities available to young people are;

Saturday 1 April – Skateboard, Scooter and BMX comp at Bowral Skate Park, 10am – 2pm be there at 9.30am to register. Heaps of prizes and a free BBQ, event will be cancelled in wet weather. For more information contact 0414 207 571 or Facebook.com/Highlandsyc

Tuesday 4 April – Triple Zero challenge is The Triple Zero Challenge is a charity cricket match between all Emergency Services; there are many attractions for all ages from careers information to rock climbing walls. Come down to Bradman Oval between 10am – 4pm and support those who look after our community

Wednesday 5 April – FREE Manga Workshop being led by renowned artist Matt Lin, the workshop will run from 4.30pm – 5.30pm in the Henrietta Rose room near Bowral Library. Bookings are essential so please contact Bowral library on 1300266 235 for bookings or go to www.bowralmanga.eventbrite.com.au 

Thursday 6 April – The Body Shop Party for young people 12 – 17 years 4pm – 5pm at the Henrietta Rose Room in Bowral. Another event being run by Wingecarribee Libraries, bookings are essential www.bowralbodyshopparty.eventbrite.com.au 

Friday 7 AprilPop up cinema at Leighton gardens 7pm start time for the showing of Suicide Squad which is M rated so the event is aimed at the young people 15 years and over, bring a blanket and a picnic dinner to watch the movie under the stars. Alcohol free zone and anyone expected of being under the influence will be asked to move on. Saturday 8 April – Boot camp, live tunes and pool games at the Moss Vale War Memorial Aquatic Centre 11am - 2pm, “GET ACTIVE FOR YOUTH WEEK” young people under 16 must complete a fitness questionnaire and registration is essential please contact MVAC on 4868 1967 for more information and to register. Heaps of prizes, give away’s and a free healthy lunch with live performances by local acoustic artists all for a gold coin donation
