Household Chemical CleanOut

The Household Chemical CleanOut event is held once a year, normally in April. Residents can drop off their unwanted household chemicals free of charge to Council’s Moss Vale Works Depot between 9.00am to 3.30pm on this day.

The next Chemical CleanOut will be held in 2018.

Chemicals include residential quantities (20 kg or 20 litre maximum container sizes) of:

Household chemicals

  • Acids & alkalis
  • Ammonia cleaners
  • Car batteries
  • Fire extinguishers
  • Floor care products
  • Fluorescent globes & tubes
  • Gas bottles
  • Motor oils and fuels
  • Paints & paint products
  • Pesticides & herbicides 
  • Photography chemicals
  • Poisons
  • Pool chemicals
  • Solvents
