Showerhead Exchange ProgramLess than 200 free energy efficient showerheads left, but the conditions have changed For some time we have been running a free showerhead exchange program. Wingecarribee residents have been given new AAA rated water saving showerheads if they brought in their existing showerhead, an energy account and water account into the Civic Centre at Moss Vale. Following recent rulings from IPART (Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal), the conditions have changed for eligibility for Council to receive reimbursement under the Greenhouse Gas Abatement Scheme, which provides the funding for the project. There are 2 changes to the conditions: 1. There is now a limit of one showerhead per property. Before we allowed up to two, and did allow greater numbers upon request for motels, schools etc. At present we less than 200 efficient showerheads left, so if you satisfy the new criteria and would like to receive a free energy efficient showerhead, call into the customer service centre at the Civic Centre and the staff will do the rest. Attached is some background information outlining the program and answering some of the commonly asked questions. If you need further details our Environment and Health officers Sharon Makin and Barry Arthur are the best contacts. Contact details
