Possible Urban Release Sites

At its meeting held on 13 December 2006, Council considered a report on the Proposed Wingecarribee Residential Growth Strategy 2007 - 2020. This link takes you to the Wingecarribee Today newsletter which outlined the proposed Strategy.
Three possible urban release sites were identified - Wensleydale (Colo Vale); Gibbergunyah (Mittagong), Chelsea Gardens (Moss Vale).
Detailed Environmental Studies of these three sites took place throughout 2006 and these were placed on public exhibition in early 2007. These reports may be downloaded below.
Wensleydale - On 12 September 2007 Council resolved to note the matter. On 26 September 200, following a recission motion, Council resolved to not proceed with any rezoning of Wensleydale.
Gibbergunya (Mittagong) - On 24 October 2007 Council resolved to defer the matter for consideration at the Ordinary Meeting of Council to be held at 5.30pm on the Wednesday, 28 November 2007.
Chelsea Gardens - On 24 October 2007 Council resolved to proceed with the rezoning of the land as identified in the map with the report and notify the Department of Planning in accordance with Section 54 of the EP&A Act of its decision to rezone the land accordingly.
