PURPOSE: The purpose of this Planning Proposal is to amend WLEP 2010 to rezone part of the land at the rear of the Anthem Care Property from RE1 Public Recreation to R2 Low Density Residential. The Planning Proposal will also apply a Minimum Lot Size to the same property of 700 sqm where none currently exists. Two lots, Lot 3 and Lot 4 DP 550860, where the existing public road provides rear access to the Anthem site, will also be reclassified from Community to Operational land.
OBJECTIVES OR INTENDED OUTCOMES: The intended outcome is to correct an error on the WLEP 2010 zoning map and to reclassify land at the rear of the Anthem Aged Care Facility.

STATUS: On exhibition
BACKGROUND: The owner of the Anthem Aged Care Facility requested that a long standing error with the WLEP 2010 be corrected to rezone part of their site from RE1 Public Recreation to R2 Low Density Residential. The operators of the site advised that a further development of the site will rear lane access from Hansen Street along the eastern section of Park Road that is currently classified as Community Land. As this section would be used exclusively by the operators of Anthem Care, Council resolved to reclassify this land to operational to make provision for its exchange.

The Gateway Determination was issued with the notification that Wingecarribee Shire Council is authorised to exercise the functions of the Minister for Planning and Infrastructure under section 59 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 that are delegated to it by instrument of delegation dated 14 October 2012 in relation to the following Planning Proposal:
