At its meeting on 13 May 2015 Council resolved to proceed with the Planning Proposal. Documentation is currently being prepared for the Department of Planning & Environment and the Parliamentary Counsel's Office.
The progress of this Planning Proposal may also be viewed on the Department of Planning & Environment's LEP Tracking System.
At its meeting on 13 December 2014 Council resolved to prepare a Planning Proposal to rezone land at 10 Drapers Road Willow Vale from IN1 General Industrial to R5 Large Lot Residential with a minimum lot size of 4,000m2.
On 4 December 2014 the NSW Department of Planning and Environment issued a Gateway Determination that the Planning Proposal may proceed.
At its meeting on 13 December 2014 Council also resolved to remove the controls over the subject land and the adjoining property to the north currently contained in the Industrial lands Development Control Plan (DCP) which Council resolved to adopt on 20 April 2011. These controls require that both sites be developed together for the purposes of any industrial land use.
With the rezoning of the subject land, these DCP controls would be removed from the Industrial Lands DCP and the subject site would become subject to the controls of the Northern Villages DCP with the boundary for Willow Vale being amended accordingly.
The Planning Proposal was on public exhibition from Wednesday 25 February until Tuesday 31 March 2015.
The Minister for Planning & Infrastructure has determined that Wingecarribee Shire Council, as the Relevant Planning Authority will determine this Planning Proposal under delegated authority.
