Open Access Information Not Publicly Available

Under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009, when deciding whether or not to release information, Council must consider whether there is an overriding public interest against disclosing that information.

If Council makes decisions about open access information that will not be disclosed due to an overriding public interest against disclosure, it will publish the information here.

For more information on how government agencies apply the public interest test when determining whether or not to release information, see the fact sheet on this topic from the New South Wales Information and Privacy Commission.
