Artists and studios - it's time to book your space on the TrailLast modified: February 19, 2009 - 12:45 AM
Last year, 18 local studios and 60 local artists demonstrated and exhibited their work at the Southern Highlands Art Studio Trail held over the first weekend of Days of Wine Art and Roses in November. The event was extremely popular with locals and visitors endeavouring to get around to as many studios as possible, discovering new parts of the Southern Highlands along the way. The good news is that the Trail will be on again this year and it is time for studios and artists to book in to be part of it. Expressions of interest are now invited from local artists and artisans who would like to participate in the Southern Highlands Art Studio Trail on the weekend of 31st October-1st November 2009. Artists and artisans can participate in the Art Studio Trail in two ways -
Details including your name, name of studio (if applicable), area of interest - how you would like to participate (open your own studio or exhibit at another studio), contact details (including phone number, postal address and email address) and a brief resume and photos of your work (resume and photos not needed if you participated last year). Please send details to - Jenny Kena, Community & Cultural Development Officer, Wingecarribee Shire Council, PO Box 141 Moss Vale 2577 or jenny.kena@wsc.nsw.gov.au or Fax: 4869 1203. Further information - ph: 4868 0855. Gallery owners and other groups organising exhibitions and workshops during the period of Days of Wine Arts and Roses (29th October - 16th November 2009) are also invited to submit details to the above address. Information about last year's Art Studio Trail can be found at www.wsc.nsw.gov.au/community/3283.html
