Wingecarribee Shire Council General Manager Jason Gordon is calling for information from residents who may have witnessed a brazen weekend attack on Eridge Park in Bowral.
“Our staff arrived after the weekend to find the little athletics field at Eridge Park severely damaged after hoons used the oval as a rally course,” he said.
“We’re asking members of the public who may have witnessed the attack, which apparently occurred in broad daylight, to contact our local Police.
“The cost of the repairs are significant and the inconvenience to our junior athletes considerable,” said Mr Gordon.
“These vandals have no respect for public safety or property and I ask anyone who may witness any attacks against Council property to report them direct to Council or the local Police.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Bowral Police on 4862 9299 or Wingecarribee Shire Council on phone 4868 0888.
