15/01/2017We are currently repairing a broken water main on Argyle St Moss Vale out the front of Harrigan car yard. Possible surrounding streets may be affected. The planned duration will take approximately 5hrs to repair although we endeavour to have water returned ASAP. Duration is from 8:30am to 1:30pm.
Merrigang Street, BowralSewer Main Construction

Commencing 17th Jan 2018

The works will involve laying a new trench along the roadway and the construction of a new 225mm sewer main by specialist contractor Carve Earthworks. Construction will be carried out over a distance of 350 metres between the intersections of Queen Street and Jasmine Street.


Hours of construction will be 7.00am to 6.00pm Mondays to Saturdays.


During these construction hours a lane of the immediate work area will be temporarily closed to through traffic. Detour will be in place through Jasmine Street for east bound traffic and Queen Street for west bound traffic.


The project is scheduled to be completed by mid-February 2018. All timeframes are subject to weather conditions.

Moss Vale Sewerage Treatment Plant - Kennedy Close, Moss Vale

Routine Operational Works – Increased Truck Movements

Council will have increased truck movements from Moss Vale Sewerage Treatment Plant, Kennedy Close, Moss Vale for routine operational works.

Possible Odour

23rd to 25th January 2018

Council is required to conduct a maintenance program at monthly intervals to ensure best operational practices and regulatory compliance. Although Council implements managerial protocols during this process, unfortunately the practice may still result in residents noticing odour release. These scheduled works are impacted by wet weather and operational demands.

Water & Sewer Network Renewals & UpgradesCommencing June 2017 for 12 Months

Council has engaged Carve Earthworks & Construction Pty Ltd have been engaged to conduct a 12 month replacement program involving upgrading and replacing water mains, water meters, sewer mains and manholes in various locations in the Wingecarribee Shire.


These works are being carried out to ensure our water and sewerage systems operate at peak performance and continue to provide our customers with safe, reliable and continuous water and wastewater services.


Should the contractor require entry into a property, letters will be issued to the homeowner prior. Pipe renewals will be conducted utilising trenchless technology where possible. Areas where works are carried out will be restored after construction.

Moss Vale, Lackey RoadWater Main ConstructionCommencing Monday 8th Jan 2018

The works will involve the renewing of the old water main and the construction of a new 150mm water main by specialist contractor Carve Earthworks. Construction will be carried out over a distance of 400 metres between the intersections of Parkes Road with Lackey Road and Argyle Street.


Hours of construction will be 7.00am to 6.00pm Mondays to Saturdays.

During these construction hours the immediate work area will be temporarily closed to through traffic. Access will however be made available to immediate properties Lackey Road.


Road users and pedestrians are cautioned to follow the changed traffic conditions including detours, exercise care when travelling through the construction zones and be aware of loose stones and heavy machinery within the work areas.

Signage will also be erected and traffic controllers will be stationed on site to manage traffic during work hours. Where possible, motorists are advised to avoid the area.


Council thanks motorists in advance for their cooperation and apologises for any temporary delays or inconvenience.


The project is scheduled to be completed by early February 2018. All timeframes are subject to weather conditions.

Bundanoon Road near Ringwood LaneRoad Reconstruction22 January to 28 February

Traffic control will be in place with a number of closures during Stage 1 works:
1. Bundanoon Road being closed for north bound traffic at Ringwood Rd. Detour via Ringwood Rd
2. Ringwood Lane will be closed at Bundanoon Road to all traffic. Detour via Elsmore Road.
3. Bundanoon Road South Bound will be under Stop and Go situation with heavy delays possible so is recommended to detour via Elsmore Road or Ringwood Road.

East Bowral Community Centre

Carpark Works

Carpark pavement works planned to commence in January 2018

Council is extending the existing carpark to provide additional parking at the East Bowral Community Centre. During construction sections of the carpark and footpath in the immediate vicinity of works may be temporarily closed to allow the movement of construction vehicles. The carpark will however remain open and efforts will be made to minimise the impact.

Retford Park Estate West subdivision is currently under construction

Retford Park Estate West subdivision is currently under construction. Part of the approved works includes the construction of a new roundabout on Boardman Road to provide access to the new Estate.
