Hedges

Last modified: July 8, 2009 - 2:28 PM

Wingecarribee Shire Council has resolved to work with the community group Hedgewise with an aim to introduce planning provisions through NSW Department of Planning to control the height of hedge plantings in our area. Local councils are reliant on the Department of Planning to confirm that "vegetative screen plantings" are defined as a type of development to be included in the land use tables of a LEP before a council may include restrictions associated with hedges.

As a result, Hedgewise has a goal "to raise awareness at State Government level". Their brochure can be downloaded via the following link.
