Whites Creek Flood Study

Wingecarribee Shire Council has engaged a consultant, URS Australia, to undertake a flood study of the Whites Creek catchment.
The creek starts from above the Moss Vale Golf Course, runs through the centre of the Moss Vale township and travels along the side of the Moss Vale Sewerage Treatment Plant . The study includes all surrounding land that drains into Whites Creek.
The aim of the study is to assess potential flood behaviour in the study area. The study will form part of the overall Floodplain Risk Management process in accordance with the NSW State Government Floodplain Development Manual.
The work to be undertaken by the consultant includes:

Data collection on historical flood events;

Modelling of the catchment runoff;

Assessment of flood behaviour in the catchment;
