Bushfire Management

Wingecarribee Shire Council has a high level of commitment to bushfire management. Council implements measures to mitigate the impact of bushfire on the community and offers significant support to the emergency services during emergency events.

The Wingecarribee Shire Council is a key member of the Wingecarribee Bush Fire Management Committee. This committee is responsible for developing broad-scale fire management strategies for the whole of the Wingecarribee Shire Council area, and has produced the Bush Fire Risk Management Plan to guide fire management activities within this area. (Wingecarribee Bush Fire Risk Management Plan, 2001 & Wingecarribee Bush fire Prone Land Maps, 2003)

Bush Fire Risk Management Plan - Published: 05 Sep 2006
