Council Elections 2008

The next Council Election is due to be held on Saturday, 13 September 2008.
The election is conducted by the NSW Electoral Commission and all enquiries should be directed to them on 1300 135 736.

The Commision has organised Candidate Information Seminars for prospective candidates and the Department of Local Government has prepared a publication "Becoming a Councillor", which gives an overview of local government in NSW and outlines what a councillor’s role is, what support is available for councillors and how to nominate as a candidate for local government election.
Claims for inclusion in the non-residential roll must be received at Council on or before 4.30pm Monday, 4 August 2008
