Commonwealth Carelink Centreswww.commcarelink.health.gov.au Commonwealth Carelink Centres provide an information service to help put older Australians, people with disabilities and those who care for them in touch with a wide range of community, aged care and disability services. Anyone can visit a Commonwealth Carelink Centre or receive the information they need by calling 1800 052 222 or visit their website. Home Flexi Care Southern HighlandsDelivers community aged care packages assisting frail and elderly people to remain at home such as personal care, domestic, gardening, shopping, meals and transport assistance. To be eligible persons must be assessed by the Aged Care Assessment team. Combined Pensioner and Superannuants Association – NSWProvides seniors infoline including housing, tenancy and medicines information, library, home and community care and community visitors services. Council on the Ageing NSWProtects and promotes wellbeing of older people in NSW through policy work, provides publications and library services, support to senior citizens clubs, older men’s groups, grandparents’ support groups etc. Seniors CardNSW shopping discount and travel concession card for people aged 60 years or over, who are not working more than 20 hours/week & are permanently resident in NSW. Veterans Affairs DepartmentProvides information for veterans, former and current members of the Defence forces and their families on access to support services.
