2008 Citizen of the Year and Young Citizen of the Year AwardsLast modified: October 5, 2007 - 9:35 AM
Australia Day 2008 is just around the corner and Wingecarribee Shire Council is seeking nominations for the “Citizen of the Year” and “Young Citizen of the Year” Awards which will be presented on the day. These awards acknowledge and recognise those in our community who have made a significant contribution in their chosen field of endeavour, to their school and/or to the local community or through an individual act of compassion, generosity or courage. There are so many wonderful people in the Shire who give freely of their time and work tirelessly to make life better for others. Nomination forms (together with guidelines and privacy information) are available on the website, from the Civic Centre in Moss Vale and from the Shire libraries. We ask that you submit your nomination(s) to Council by Friday, 4th January 2008. (Candidates must be Australian citizens and reside in the Wingecarribee Shire). Nominations should be marked “Confidential” and completed and signed by both the candidate(s) and the person nominating them. They should be forwarded to the attention of the General Manager, PO Box 141, Moss Vale NSW 2577. For more information or guidance, please contact Council’s Australia Day Co-ordinator, Roz Piper, on 4868 0713 who would be happy to assist you. Contact details
