Council meetings
Council has recently conducted a review of its committee meetings and is currently trialling its Ordinary Meetings of Council (commencing at 5.30pm) and Strategy and Finance Committee meetings (commencing at 4.00pm) on the fourth Wednesday each month. Council is also holding Services and Infrastructure Committee meetings on the first Wednesday of the month (commencing at 4.00pm) All of these meetings are open to members of the public and there is an opportunity to address Council on any issue via its Public Forum participation. At the Ordinary meeting of Council questions can be asked on any issue by members of the public between 7.00pm and 7.30pm. Questions must be written on the approved form and must be no longer than five minutes on each topic. The trial period is proposed to conclude at the end of February 2008 when Council will re-evaluate its committee process. |
